1. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings and stays at the holiday accommodation "Sonnenschilf" operated by S&C Holding GmbH. They apply to direct bookings as well as bookings made through Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) such as Airbnb, Booking.com, or similar platforms. In case of contradictions between these Terms and Conditions and the terms of an OTA, the terms of the respective OTA shall take precedence for bookings made through that platform, unless otherwise agreed.

2. Booking

A booking is made by submitting a booking request (via email, website, or OTA platform). The booking becomes binding upon receipt of the booking confirmation from the landlord. By making a booking, the guest accepts these Terms and Conditions. The booking is made for the person named in the booking and the number of guests specified. The maximum number of guests must not be exceeded.

3. Stay

The guest undertakes to treat the holiday accommodation, its furnishings, and all equipment (including boats, e-bikes, SUP boards, and other recreational equipment) with care and to use them only for their intended purpose. Any damage caused by the guest or their companions must be reported to the landlord immediately and will be charged to the guest.

The guest is responsible for leaving the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition upon departure. This includes, but is not limited to: washing dishes, emptying the refrigerator, taking out the trash, and leaving the accommodation in a swept condition.

Subletting or passing on the accommodation to third parties is not permitted without the express written consent of the landlord.

4. Payment

For direct bookings, a deposit of 50% of the total rental price is due within 7 days of receiving the booking confirmation. The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the arrival date. If the booking is made less than 14 days before arrival, the full amount is due immediately upon booking confirmation.

For bookings made through OTA platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.), the payment terms of the respective platform apply.

5. Cancellation

For direct bookings, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Up to 31 days before arrival: Free cancellation. Any payments already made will be refunded in full.
  • From 30 days before arrival: 100% of the total rental price is due. No refund.

For bookings made through OTA platforms, the cancellation policy of the respective platform applies.

In case of early departure, no refund will be made for unused nights.

6. Liability

The use of the holiday accommodation, its facilities, and all equipment (including boats, e-bikes, SUP boards, and other recreational equipment) is at the guest's own risk. The landlord accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, loss, or damage to personal property, unless caused by gross negligence or intent on the part of the landlord.

The landlord is not liable for disruptions to services caused by force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government orders, or other circumstances beyond the landlord's control.

7. Written Form

Amendments and additions to these Terms and Conditions must be made in writing. This also applies to the waiver of the written form requirement itself. Verbal side agreements are invalid.

8. Severability Clause

Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes as close as possible to the economic purpose of the invalid provision. The same applies to any gaps in these Terms and Conditions.

House Rules

  • No pets: Pets are not allowed in the accommodation.
  • No parties: The accommodation is not suitable for parties or events.
  • No loud music: Please refrain from playing loud music, especially outdoors.
  • Quiet times: Please observe quiet times from 22:00 to 06:00.
  • Respectful interaction: We kindly ask all guests to be considerate of nature and any neighbors.
